Certification
LAWDOG is intended to assist in the understanding of basic concepts. See Disclaimer. Always obtain legal advice from legal professionals.
The user of a consumer report must certify that the consumer report will be used for a permissible purpose, and for no other purpose. This certification will usually take the form of a contract between the user and the consumer reporting agency.
If information is deleted from a consumer's file as a result of a dispute by the consumer, the information may not be reinserted in the file by the consumer reporting agency unless the person who furnishes the information certifies that the information is complete and accurate. See Special Rules For Previously Deleted Items by clicking here. Link does not return to page.
