The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is a commission of the United States Government. It oversees interstate trade and business practices in the United States, and is an enforcement agency supervising and implementing rules and regulations to ensure, among other things, the compliance with the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act, except as to those authorities that are specifically designated to certain other government agencies.

A copy of The Fair Credit Reporting Act, As Amended, and a copy of the FTC Official Staff Commentary to the Fair Credit Reporting Act are included under "Fair Credit Reporting Resources", available from LAWDOG Credit Reporting Center, or here.
