Reselling Of Reports
LAWDOG is intended to assist in the understanding of basic concepts. See Disclaimer. Always obtain legal advice from legal professionals.
If the consumer report is obtained for resale, the reseller must first:
1. Disclose the identity of the end-user to the source consumer reporting agency.
2. Identify to the source consumer reporting agency the permissible use by the end-user.
3. Establish reasonably procedures designed to insure that reports are resold only for permissible purposes.
See "Special Rules For Resellers of Consumer Reports" linked here. Link does not return to this page.
