Collection Agencies |
| There are no licensing or bond requirements for conducting collection activities in the State of Alabama. There is, however, a license tax to be paid in the town or city in which the collection agency's place of business is located. The amount of license tax is $100.00 in towns and cities of 20,000 or more inhabitants, and $25.00 in towns and cities of less than 20,000 inhabitants. (C.O.A. 40-12-80.)
