| Title Information Each certificate of title issued by the commissioner must
contain the date issued, name and address of owner, names and addresses of any
lienholders, in order of priority as shown on application or on certificate, the title
number assigned to the vehicle, a description of vehicle including, so far as data exists,
its make, model, identification number, type of body, number of cylinders, whether new or
used, and, if a new vehicle, the date of the first sale of vehicle for use, mileage
reading as shown on application, and any other data commissioner requires. A
certificate of title issued by commissioner is prima facie evidence of facts appearing on

| Requirements for Registration,
Temporary Uses Motor vehicles may not be operated or towed on any
highway in Connecticut, except as expressly provided, unless registered with the
commissioner. Motor vehicle may be towed for repairs if it bears markers of licensed and
registered dealer, manufacturer or repairman. Also, any motor vehicle validly registered
in another state may, for a period of sixty days following establishment by owner of
residence in state, be operated on any highway without first being registered with the

Finance Charge on Retail Vehicles Sales A retail seller of
motor vehicles may charge, contract for, receive or collect a finance charge expressed as
an annual percentage rate on any retail instalment contract covering the retail sale of a
motor vehicle in this state, which charge may not exceed rates indicated by classification
of vehicle in Connecticut General Statutes Section 36a-772

Confession of Judgment
Provisions Invalid No provision for
confession of judgment or power of attorney, contained in any retail instalment contract
or instalment loan contract or contained in a separate agreement relating thereto, may be
valid or enforceable. See Connecticut General Statutes Sec. 36a-775

License Required for Sales
or Repair of Motor Vehicles No person, firm or corporation may engage in
business of buying, selling, offering for sale or brokerage of any motor vehicle or
repairing of any motor vehicle until party is issued new car or used car dealer
license, or repairer or limited repairer license. The Commissioner of Motor Vehicles
administers licenses under this section. See Connecticut General Statutes Section 14-52
