Collection Agency Licensing Requirements:

 
Collection agencies are required to register with the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs before conducting any collection activities in the State of Hawaii.  A bond is required in the penal sum of $25,000 for the first office, and $15,000 for each additional office.  All collection agencies must comply with all statutes, rules and regulations set forth in Chapter 443B of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Title 16, Chapter 112 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules.
