Bad Checks:

Issuing a check knowing that it will not be honored by the drawee is theft by deception under Kentucky law. (KRS 514.040(1)(e).) Civil action to recover damages resulted from a dishonored generally must be filed within five (5) years. (KRS 413.120(7).
