Court System:

The court system in North Dakota consists of the Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, District Court.  Credit and collection cases are generally determined by the District Court which has general jurisdiction on all civil and criminal matters.   (27-05-06.)

The North Dakota Supreme Court has prepared an excellent description of the entire North Dakota Court System, which is linked here. Also see "A Glossary of Judicial Terms" linked here.
