| Fair Debt Collection Practices:
Chapter 13-04-02 of the North Dakota Century Code governs certain acts and conduct of debt collectors in the collection of consumer debts. Some of the prohibited acts may include threats or coercion, harassment or abuse, unreasonable publication, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading representations, unfair or unconscionable means, or postal violations. In all other respect, the State of North Dakota generally adopts the Federal Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act under 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692-1692(o). |
