Court System: The court system in Vermont consists of the Supreme Court, Superior Court, and District Court. Credit and collection cases are generally determined by the Superior Court. Superior Court: The Superior Court has original and exclusive jurisdiction of all original civil actions. (Judiciary 4-113.) Small Claims Court: The Small Claims Court is a division of the Superior Court. It has jurisdiction over money claims where the amount in controversy does not exceed $3,500.00.
