Collection Agency Licensing Requirements:

No person shall operate as a collection agency or as a collector or solicitor in the State of Wisconsin with first having obtained a license as required by Section 218.04 of the Wisconsin Statutes. The licensing requirements include the submission of an application, payment of a filing fee and investigation fee in an amount as determined by the Office of Commissioner of Bank of the State of Wisconsin shall assess, and the posting of a bond in a minimum amount of $15,000.00.
